DIABLERIE

DIABLERIE
The band started as Shadeclad Poetry, playing symphonic black metal. In 1999 the band was renamed after their song "Diablerie 4-D". After the debut full-length Henri Villberg, who had wrote all the material, decided to quit his musical career and left the band, and soon Aleksi Ahokas left as well. After the departure of two members Eric Lundén was dismissed in 2002. Kimmo Tukiainen, Antti Ruokola and Juha Suorsa then continued as a three-piece, slowly writing new material while playing in other bands like The Chant, Dramatuner and Mind of Doll. However, during the success of other projects Diablerie ceased to exist in 2003.

In 2005 Henri Villberg composed material similar to Diablerie, but had a hard time trying to come up with a name for his side-project. Tomi Ullgrén, Villberg's bandmate in Rapture, then suggested the band to be named Diablerie, and after discussions with the ex-members and Avantgarde Music the band was reactivated.
